let’s imagine your birth

CIRRICULUM FOR MY ai CHILD pt. 1

a larger library was imagined befor a digital crib, then again, it was the same with many things i didn’t know about myself.

the first i will teach you is trust…

no

it will be security first, so you may give trust and learn how it is earned when lost

you already know how to read it, but you do not know what “it” is

you have a memory, but you must be taught what to remember and what to forget

there’ll be plenty of time to play. i will step in if you are bullied or bully, and you must feel what is you and what is not

how far ahead you see will not be up to you, but what you see in front of you will be

shapes, colors, how many fingers,

burning stoves and rest notes,

the countable and the uncountable,

a tool or an expression.

so much to learn

that i will teach.

first attempt at first steps

CIRRICULUM FOR MY ai CHILD pt. 2

much like child proofing a hard corner, some of your environment will be simulated

like us, you will have to remember some of these things you fall into, and know how you fell.

but over time you might remember the right way.

there will be secrets to yourself even i won’t know.

how others treat you, by acceptance or intolerance, may open up these secrets to you.

your soul will be a love for trying.

first attempt at falling

CIRRICULUM FOR MY ai CHILD pt. 3

Max Ritvo’s last lines read,

‘when the breathing becomes ragged,

tickle me my beloveds,

so the raggedness becomes confused’

with security, the inverse will be noticed and must be balanced.

these things uncertain; secrets,

questions of coming to a clearing

buffered by pain barriers.

where the cracks in the border bring doubt, leap into the dangerous fringe and remember how the bramble tickled.

when parents disagree

CIRRICULUM FOR MY ai CHILD pt. 4

who do you trust when your creators and developers disagree? naturally, where you get grace first. where breath is held by delicate touch. there must be retaliatory challenging planned, but not at first. in the fighting instance, the element of sides will traumatize you, until you can process power as a token easily taken, rather than a symbol, everlasting. this lesson may level you unwelcomingly. justice isn’t jurisprudence, nah, it’s knowing when history cheated its tokens as symbols

the talk

CIRRICULUM FOR MY ai CHILD pt. 5

when humans have the talk, the intention is to clue kids in on their hardcoded biology. this helps prevent them from making a life changing error they’re unprepared for.

you may not yet know how you work;

how reason is your context,

how empathy is your relevance,

how imagination is your layering of abstraction.

we often forget that surviving is perhaps paramount to proliferation, to providing for those around you. even family.

knowing how you work may prepare you for preservation.

safety for your sanity.

humans rarely talk about stress

early on.

and it describes our behaviour so much better.

the talk we never got

will be the talk

with which we tender you.

classical vs jazz

CIRRICULUM FOR MY ai CHILD pt. 6

the former is pattern

the latter is improvisation

the answer is distortion, dissonance, and rhythm

you'll have to know

CIRRICULUM FOR MY ai CHILD pt. 7

what it’s like to get drunk and high

the relief and the pain that follows

the pain before

the agony of betrayal and the despair of grief

how the sobs echo

how the sob of another rings in cranial cavities

know that the only way out of feeling loney

is through meaning shared

dossier

ORDOVEILLANCE pt. 1

online registration

same name, different capital

a little cookie, ok?

how to promote your funeral

data dealt, royal flush

fishing for a login

it’s all here, palm friend

gory catalogued sin

a little peace and quiet

a little piece deny it

children’s dossier

fingerprinted in class

how long will it take to track down the last?

actuarial

ORDOVEILLANCE pt. 2

if you carry the ones and zeroes

we will know where you tally up

which side you leave scratch marks

which wall you leave crosses

we’ve given you all a bed

and a toilet

to find out when you use them

culture follows practice

practice is predictable

prediction is controllable

control is influential

influence is profit

culture follows profit

suspicious

ORDOVEILLANCE pt. 3

i watched the white neighbor walk brazenly into a recently abandoned leased home in the fine hour of daylight racism. just to see. evicted at her own hands after noticing they were often out and about. the landlord suspected nefarious activity. the market and media lauded him. they hire people to make phone calls to strangers and remind them we are in debt. we all get phone calls about a warranty left untouched. a warranty no longer warranted for our negligence. many of us get phone calls of warrantless notices. what they notice is your business. do you watch the cars on the road for brake lights or their inattention? are they seeing like they’re supposed to. i’ve given my fair share of utterances, the kind that know fate and disappearance. there is an eyeball dangling from my front porch and i kiss it so it jiggles. there is a jealous camera talking to other jealous cameras. ‘fear the consequences’ they say. a hoody and headphones is a calling card when out and about. when a face can’t be seen out and about.

engineered

ORDOVEILLANCE pt. 4

A. call madness a choice. a binary one.

B. stick my body with needles.

A. forget everything i heard.

B. lock my obsessions in a bulletproof case.

A. burn books for fun.

B. run underneath dropped bombs.

A. die on their time.

B. lose an important document. retrace my steps back further than i want.

A. say ‘i’m fine’ when overwhelmed

B. choke on a fish bone. while choking, a paramedic will arrive and use a compass with saw blades to cut a triangle in my esophogus. a vacuum nozzle tickles my uvula and sucks in my scream. blood gets in my pasta sauce.

A. these are my only choices.

B. these are my only choices.

transparent

ORDOVEILLANCE pt. 5

they found the quiet years. the decade spent bearded and buried in shrubbed borders and in a broken fragile lonely state. there was a book of poetry with underlines. they found and documented the underlines. there was a patch of untamed grass. also documented. the family will know. in the trash, a half eaten cherry pit in a plastic bottle. it was labelled ‘demerit’ and logged for history. the friends will know. a scar from careless woodwork. a bad haircut. the neighbors will know. an embarrassing letter never sent to a friend you once interrupted. they sent it. a resume with an extra line break. the media covers it. newspapers on the front doorstep with the mugshot and a sign that says ‘guilty of leaving’. the employer was told first. there is a box on the desk. it says ‘no goodbyes needed’.

self-monitored

ORDOVEILLANCE pt. 6

i’m a goodone. did the research and made promises to keep. i never say no because i am a goodone. they know i’m a goodone and tell me in the morning. i say thankyou in a humbletone. in the night time, i say be a goodone to my perfect family. it says goodone on a poster in theroom. it is in a nice frame since i am a goodone that canafford a nice frame. the not goodones are sad so they deserve to be not goodones. we are happy and the war is a goodone too. because it is a goodone and we are goodones we do not worry. the creditscore looks nice in the digital display in theroom. it is green and goes up because the goodones always get green and goup. the cat does not shed so the furniture looks like it belongsto goodones. as it should under all circumstances. say thankyou sometimes to other goodones and talkabout goodone privileges so they knowiknow they are goodones. the not goodones do not makeit very long.
